Adding
Meaningful
Value

Helping companies and leaders flourish
in a world of complexity, change and expectation

Want to add meaningful value? Act purposefully? Lead with character? Flourish culturally?

Success in today’s marketplace means acting with purposeful intent and agility whilst thinking like a steward.

But achieving this requires a dual journey.

One for the organisation. Because modern management norms often conflict with adding meaningful value.

And one for leaders. Because leadership is changing, personal transformation matters and the executive to front line perspective gap is always bigger than imagined.

Shoremount advises organisations and leaders who want be great to work for. Who want meaningful success.

Sound good? Let’s talk.

For Forward Thinking Leaders

Sector Spotlights

  • We have advised both portfolio companies and investment houses themselves.

We have done this across pioneers in the impact and mainstream investing arenas; from leading impact investors such as Resonance Impact to pioneering secondaries firm, Coller Capital.

We specialised in this sector in our B Lab Ambassador role so have held guidance conversations across many companies on that front, including: Bowmark, Tenzing, Firethorn, Alvarium, Carlyle, Arabesque, SFO Partners, Mayfair, YFM, Marcol, Palatine, Triple Point, Bregal Milestone, Waypoint, Downing, Ares, Ironbridge, ICG, Montagu, Barley Cove and Third Way.

  • Succession and stewardship issues are having a quiet but significant impact on the ownership of private assets. Particularly, perhaps, when it comes to personal landholdings.

Family Offices have plenty of operational advice. Our work leans instead towards the more personal and philosophical questions at the top end: the thinking that underpins the strategic choices which guide those operational needs.

For example, for 15 years we have contributed to a working group of landowners who have been wrestling adventurously with stewardship ambitions in the context of what their family and faith based concerns are.

  • As experts in the financial services sector, we have advised a range of private banking and corporate finance providers.

For example, we guided Hoare & Co through its B Corp journey, ensuring it was done from a cultural, purposeful perspective as opposed to a tick box exercise. And supported a bulge bracket bank evaluate joining B Lab's cohort for multinationals.

In our B Lab Ambassadorial role, we have helped a range of financial services firms consider their ambitions, including: CIBC, Stonehage Fleming, M&G, Centrus, Downing, Julius Baer, HSBC and Santander Private.

  • We have extensive experience working alongside people with this perspective in the commercial, political and NGO spaces in both a personal and organisational context.

The impact and stewardship space, for example, has long held a high concentration of this demographic, from the days of Guiness, Cabdury, Quaker Oats right up until the present.

Today, $5Trillion of assets are owned or managed by faith led entrepreneurs, investors and leaders.

Whilst we are experienced at working alongside the formal religious organisations, most of our work is more in mainstream contexts where a faith based perspective is relevant, such as family offices wanting to align their values with their strategies.
